About this role

Join our team as a Substation Designer & Protection and Controls Engineer for data center projects.

You will support substation construction and protection system installation, developing detailed designs and providing field engineering support. This role combines substation design with protection engineering expertise.

Support installation of substations and protection systems that deliver reliable power to mission-critical data center facilities.

What you'll do

  • Develop substation installation drawings
  • Design protection and control systems
  • Coordinate substation construction
  • Support relay testing and commissioning
  • Review shop drawings
  • Provide field engineering support

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of substation design or P&C engineering
  • Experience with medium voltage substations
  • Knowledge of protective relaying
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Understanding of utility standards
  • Strong coordination skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT or PE certification preferred
  • Experience with data center or utility substations
  • Knowledge of IEEE standards

Certifications typically required

NFPA 70EOSHA 30
