About this role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist focused on mission-critical equipment for data center projects.

You will manage procurement of long-lead equipment including generators, UPS systems, chillers, and switchgear. This role requires deep knowledge of data center equipment, vendor relationships, and supply chain management in a market with extended lead times.

Ensure critical equipment arrives on time and on budget, managing procurement packages worth tens of millions of dollars and navigating lead times that can exceed 52 weeks.

What you'll do

  • Manage equipment procurement processes
  • Develop bid packages and RFPs
  • Negotiate with equipment vendors
  • Track equipment lead times and deliveries
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams
  • Manage procurement budgets

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of procurement experience
  • Experience with data center or electrical equipment
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, and cooling equipment
  • Understanding of equipment lead times
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities
  • Knowledge of equipment specifications
  • Strong analytical skills

Certifications typically required
