About this role
Join our team as a Preconstruction Manager/Estimator specializing in mission-critical facilities. You will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and preconstruction strategies for data center projects.
This role requires deep expertise in MEP systems, critical infrastructure, and construction methodologies specific to data centers. You will work closely with design teams and clients to ensure projects are scoped correctly and budgeted accurately.
Work with industry leaders on projects that power the digital infrastructure of tomorrow, contributing to some of the largest and most complex data center developments in the country.
What you'll do
- Develop detailed cost estimates for data center projects
- Lead preconstruction meetings and client presentations
- Analyze drawings and specifications for accuracy
- Manage subcontractor bid processes
- Create value engineering recommendations
- Maintain estimating databases and cost history
What you'll bring
- 8+ years of preconstruction/estimating experience
- Minimum 5 years focused on data centers or mission-critical facilities
- Expert knowledge of MEP systems and costs
- Proficiency with estimating software (OST, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Strong database and historical cost knowledge
- Experience with value engineering
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- LEED certification preferred
- Experience with hyperscale data center projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
