About this role

We are seeking a Senior MEP Design Engineer specializing in mechanical systems for data center projects.

You will design cooling systems, air handling units, and mechanical infrastructure for mission-critical facilities. This role requires deep expertise in data center cooling technologies including air-cooled chillers, water-cooled systems, and emerging liquid cooling solutions.

Design the mechanical systems that keep the world's data centers running, working on facilities ranging from 10MW to 100MW+ with some of the most advanced cooling technologies in the industry.

What you'll do

  • Design mechanical cooling systems
  • Perform load calculations and equipment selection
  • Develop construction documents
  • Coordinate with electrical and architectural teams
  • Provide construction administration support
  • Review shop drawings and submittals

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years focused on data center cooling
  • Expert knowledge of chilled water and DX systems
  • Experience with CFD analysis and thermal modeling
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP and engineering software
  • Understanding of liquid cooling technologies

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • PE license required
  • ASHRAE certifications preferred
  • Experience with Tier III/IV data centers

Certifications typically required

PE LicenseOSHA 30
