About this role

We are looking for a Data Center Design Manager/Owner's Representative to oversee the design phase of data center projects on behalf of our clients.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between owners and design teams, ensuring that projects meet technical requirements, stay on budget, and align with client objectives. This role requires exceptional communication skills and deep technical knowledge of data center systems.

What you'll do

  • Represent owner interests during design development
  • Review and approve design documents and specifications
  • Coordinate between architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Manage design schedule and budget
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards
  • Lead design review meetings

What you'll bring

  • 12+ years of experience in data center design or engineering
  • Experience as owner's representative or design manager
  • Deep understanding of Tier III/IV data center requirements
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities
  • Knowledge of Uptime Institute standards

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related)
  • PE license preferred
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Experience with ASHRAE guidelines and Uptime Institute standards

Certifications typically required

OSHA 30
